Pete j , I really need your help with the valves. My e-mail alwyndewet@yahoo.com .(From South Africa)?
I manufacture cleaning chemicals. We make 500 000 liters per month and at this stage we fill the 1 liters, 5 liters by only opening and closing ball valves so the volume is never the same. I enjoy building my own stuff and working with my hands. My question wasn't very clear- I don't want to design valves but rather build a filling machine for the various products that we need to decant from the 5000 Liter tank (we have got 4 of them) . The chemicals range from the thickest product ( washing liquid) to normal window cleaner wich is like water. I know there are a lot of filling machines on the market but I want to build my own based on filling by volume and gravity feed. What is the simplest and cheapest method to fill a container and that the filling head will stop at excactly the same level every time (by volume) using only gravity feed.Thanx Alwyn
